Match day 3 Standings

Final round of matches are complete, good bye Spain, England, Italy, Ivory Coast.  Cant believe these teams are out of the tournament already. it appears lots of underdogs are going through, what is the magic ingredient ? A lot of it has to do with team chemistry and the all the teams that have advance are playing like a team. Cant believe the Suarez incident. Here are the standings after final matchday

1. Curt - 26

2. Adam - 25

3. Mike - 21

4. Ryan -  18

5. Matt- 17

6. Robbie -  11

7. Dave- 8

8. Travis - 6

It appears we got a tight race here, Curt seems to be the front runner in the points system round with 3 teams still in it (Argentina, Belgium and USA). Adam, myself, Mike, Ryan and Robbie both have 2 teams still alive in the tournament  with Dave and Travis are hanging in there but for how long ? With Suarez out I dont see Uruguay beating Colombia, and Nigeria has not impressed me during the tournament.

Second Round Results

So after Round 2 of matches, everyone is still probably wondering who is the favourite to win it ? or has everyone decided whos going to win it, myself I think as of right now the favourite could be France, the only thing I can see a problem of them not winning it is the defence is questionable at times. even though Switzerland scored 2 goals at the end, they had other chances to score during the game that could of made it closer. I think Brazil still looks good its just Mexico played 10 guys behind the ball which is hard to play against always no matter who you are. I think the German/Ghana game showed us a lot about the two teams, one Germany needs a striker. Yes there will be some games when they will score goals with the midfield but realistically they arent going to produce the amount of goals as they did against Portugal. With Ghana they bounced back against a tough lose to USA and showed some discipline, Netherlands looked strong in the second half but looked really bad in the first half against the Aussies, if they can play with urgencies at the start of the game they can go far. Costa Rica great wins but I think they will lose in the round 16 if they meet up with Ivory Coast, same team profile, big, tall , athletic but the Ivorians have more quality I think. Colombia and Chile look strong, fast and quick could see them making the semis.

Here are the current standings as of June 22, 2014 after the second round matches.

Curt - 20

Mike - 18

Adam - 12

Matt - 12

Ryan - 12

Robbie - 8

Dave- 7

Travis - 3

First Round Results

Here are the standings after the first round of results, best game so far to watch? No question Holland vs Spain, it was by far the best match out of the first round matches, other than that I like the German game

but here are the standings so far, after the FIRST ROUND OF GAMES, as of June 17th, 2014 not including Brazil vs Mexico game. After the first round I think Adam would be the most discourage after his teams kinda underperformed in the first round

Curt - 12

Matt - 8

Adam - 6

Ryan - 6

Mike -  6

Robbie - 4

Dave - 4

Travis - 0

Draft Results

Well the 2014 World Cup is coming around the corner and yet again it was time to pick teams, eight people for this draft selected teams and some really high $$ was thrown out there for teams but we decided the following format.

we all agreed for the point system to be 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and to keep it the same through the knockout stages

As you can see the front runner to win most of it is Adam, if he does not win any part of the tournament I think it will be a huge dissapointment. Curts team looks pretty interesting with some sleeper teams in there. My team is decent I think I am really banking on Germany and France as you can see, but I am hoping for Russia and Korea to do some kind of damaged but I think Russia will a team to be reckon with. Ryans team looks pretty good, he got great value on Colombia I think. I cant wait for this tournament to kick off and see what happends, Good luck to everyone and enjoy.

As well the following people need to pay $$ Travis, Adam and Ryan.
